Cool Downs pulley with ASP pulley

Has anyone thought of putting both the Downs pulley and the ASP pulley on. Should give you about 3-5 lbs more boost. I am sitting at 12 lbs with the ASP pulley. Think this would be to much for the little Eaton. They need to make a bigger blower.

I popped that topic a while back in another post. I think it would give you a little bit of a problem with belt slippage and increased internal blower temperatures. But what the heck I sure would like to see someone else try it. Who knows it might last a while.

They got that much boost from the Thunderbird SC with an air to air intercooler with no problems and that was a smaller supercharger. I've been thinking about it too. I think the Downs pulley is 299.00. ouch. Scott

Just ordered the Downs pulley. We will find out if it will last with both of them.

I also took a 92 SC supercharger and made brackets to put it on my 92 Mustang Gt. I made my own intake adapter installed a K&N airfilter. I had ASP make me a small 6 rib supercharger pulley and got 12 psi with no slip. All I had to install was an FMU and ran it without the intercooler. Scott

Dear SCOTTODOG,

Funny you should mention the Super Coupes. I had a '94 model, and ran 17 psi boost with no problems @ 70K miles. Of course, you rarely see those high boost levels unless you're really winding it out with a 5-speed SC, so it worked well.

SCOTT - smaller supercharger, but a smaller engine too... that's no commentary on the larger one, just wanted to make that observation.

Question

99SVT, did you ever get both the ASP and downs pulleys on? How has it been?

Cool

Nathan,
Was expecting it today, but nothing arrived. Hopefully next week and can get it on during the weekend. See what happens.
