Cool

Santa ordered a 7-piece molded kit for me and it should be in next week. As soon as it comes in, I'll post some pics.

Sixpipes.

Did you order the synthetic grey or did the company that you ordered from have other colors(Looking for black on black).

Thanks!

Here's the link for the carbon fiber kit Santa brought me.

http://customau.virtualis.com/wood-d...sh_md19057.htm

The quality and fit are very good, installation taking me about 30 minutes. I got the 7-piece kit at $399 plus shipping. Probably not for everyone, but I kind of like it.

Flats Man -

I've got to be getting pretty close to calling it quits. About the only thing I am still considering is the 3.73 gears. I bought a couple of 17" Expedition rims the other day to mount the Nitto drag radials I ordered from Discount Tire on. I decided not to wait til somebody comes out with an 18" slick.

Happy New Year to you and Carol! I'm sure you're probably ready to be grounded for a while.

Sixpipes,

Well, I have to add my .02 worth. Love the look on your already great-looking truck. I live in Addison, so I look forward to seeing your Beast on the road. Yep, I'm a new guy but have been reading up on all you great owners for a little while. Hope to get my White Lightning in a few months. Meanwhile, I'll just drool over the great pics I find here.

Every time I mention something new to my wife, she keeps giving me that LOOK! I think some of you know what I'm talking about.

Thanks for the comments guys. I think this carbon fiber stuff kind of grows on you (like a fungus). To all you silver Lightning guys, check out the link I posted above. The interior trim kits come in two different silver colors. It would look absolutely awsome in a silver Lightning!

TampaBay Lightning -

There are manufacturers that make the black-on-black trim, but I'm not sure it's authentic carbon fiber. The thatch work on the door would be pretty tuff to match without actually getting a sample first. If you do a word search on Yahoo (carbon fiber dash kits) you can check out a number of potential sources.

Question

I really like the look of the carbon fiber dash kit. One question, does this stuff stick on? If not, how does it attach? Is it easily removable?
