Question Tire Choices

Hey folks,

I was browsing the latest Tire Rack ad and it appears that a few more tires are available in OEM or near OEM size. Any comments about performance/preference for the following versus stock rubber:

Michelin Pilot Sport 295/45ZR $327
Pirelli PZero Asimmetrico 295/35YR $363
BFGoodrich Comp T/A 295/45ZR $291
Bridgestone Potenza S-02 295/35ZR $350
" " Pole Position 295/35ZR $360

Thanks

I have heard nothing but good things about the potenza pole positions. That's my next set. Also, they are a 295/35 so the sidewall height will be less than with the current eagle f1s.

Cool

Toyo TS-1 is also supposed to be a pretty good tire. Size is 295/35ZR.

Cool

The BFGoodrich Comp T/A 295/45ZR $291 is the softest compound of them all and will hold very well on slick streets and bite hard on the track. Not great mileage because of the soft compound. Also looks like they might be the cheapest at @ $291.00 each.

My 2cents. I have had very good luck with Goodrich comps. (295/18) onmy 97 cobra. I drove it pretty hard and still had usable treat at 26000 mi. They rode much smoother and handled better than the goodyears that the car came with. Ive had other numerous applications with the comps. and have always liked them better than the goodyears. the potenzas at 295/35 will change your speedo reading and will fill up less of your wheel well(a little) .
Im getting my L back today with its new motor. Cant wait>

Hey HIPO
Make sure that your tread doesn't get too off balance from front to rear (from like going to the track too often). If you have to take it into the dealer, they MAY frown upon it (its happened to me)!

I sell goodyear 295/45ZR18 from shop I work at for 229.99+shipping. As to rotating the tires. I doe mine every 3K with oil change. Just hit 10K, and not half worn. I do roast them, and has been to track 3 times.
