1/4 time for bone stock L - wohooo!

Just bought my new '04 L about three weeks ago. Went to the track in Houston last night to see what it could do in stock form. Mind you, this is bone stock with about 1700 miles on it.

How about a 13.32 at 102.9! Best 60' was a 1.94 on the goodyear F1's. Backed it up with a 13.35 and a 13.40. Not bad for stocker - these trucks have so much potential!

Awsome, the 03's 04's seem to run and dyno so well. I also have an 04 with 1700 miles on it.. however I have owned it since august 04.. and here in Colorado there is not such thing as an open track in the winter

Somtimes I ponder what it would be like living in az, tx or Fla.. sea-level plus warmer weather year round!

That's awesome. Chip, filter, pulley, and tune and you've got yourself a nice consistant 12 second L.

believe me, it isnt always that nice living here. the humidity sux here. i ran a month ago there wasnt any humidity and the weather was beatiful (64deg high) and i ran a 13.7 stock. ran again last week (81deg with 74% humidity) and i was back to running a 13.9. the 60' was the same on both days so i am still happy since that is the real reason that i went.

Knockout-

I've been trying to post on the HALO site for two weeks, but someone still hasn't activated my account!

I do have to admit the air was cool and dense, so it'll run several tenths slower in the summer. As far as weight, I rolled in off the street from work and raced it as-is. Didn't remove a darn thing, like jack, tire, etc. The only thing I did was put 2 gallons of 104 octane race gas just to be safe.

Hey man. I was the one in the silver L that came along side you on the way to HRP. You made some really nice runs for that stocker! Hope to see ya run again soon, maybe this time with some mods!

Hey Brandon-

It was good to meet everyone Friday night - nice people. Your truck ran great, dude, and I love the drop on it. It's made me think real hard about going for the same look.

And yeah, now I've got the bug for some mods, big time. First, I'm going to do "safety" stuff, like driveshaft loop, tranny cooler/FTVB, gauges, etc. Then it's time for some speed parts. I'll need to find a local guy who can dyno tune too.
