Box dim. for an 04 Screw under rear seat, if interested, for 2 8'' subs
Here are the dim. of my box. Just to help out fellow 04 Screw owners out in case your interested.
33''wide total. 17''wide were the subs are mounted and 16 over the hump.
Whole box is 11.75'' deep.
5.5'' in front and 4'' in back over the hump due to the angle of the seat.
6.25'' in front and 4.75'' in back were the subs are mounted.
The little leg on the side the holds up the box is 7'' deep from the front and 1.75'' tall.
Box is made of 5/8'' MDF.
Look at my box in my Gallery and you will understand what all of this means.

Dupuis,

Now what you could do to gain more volume is make your box go all the way across over to where the jack is mounted. You would have to find another spot for the amps, but that might make the sub you go with preform better if you want to go ported. Let me just say that these RE8s do amazing in the small area I put them in ported.
Good luck!

In regards to the leg/front height, 7" - 1.75" = 5.25" ... but you quote the front height of the box in this area as 6.25". Where is the mistake? Is the box total height 7" or 8"?

6.25" is the box itself without the leg, and the leg is 1.75". So the whole side where the leg only is would be 8" in the front and 7'' where the leg ends towards the back of the box due to the angle of the box and seat. The leg does not go all the way to the back of the box. Again only on the side where the leg is. You can see that in the picture. Does that make sense?
