Whats that noise?

I haver a 2000 L with the following mods. Air Force One intake, Boost bypass and the Diablosport predator programmer. With the tune installed there is a noise at WOT that sounds like something rattling (sounts like a ball bearing being rattled around inside a aluminum can). I re-install the original tune and it goes away. A friend of mine told me it was the gas Only 91 octane available at the pumps here), but I ran a high octane fuel at the race track and the noise was still there? any help?

That my friend sounds like Detonation which = blown motor if you keep it up or you could have a bad plug I dont know too much about those preadtors but try taking are buddy Rob02's favorite topic TIMEING (sp) drop some timeing out and add some fuel especially if you are running 91 oct
good luck dont wait too long it could be costly

Detonation... hit a dyno and verify your A/F before you blow it.

Are you using a stock Predator tune? I tried that briefly when I got mine and it pinged like mad. (for the whole 10 min I had that POS loaded on my truck).

That looks like what I'll be doing... And don't worry, I vae only had the tune installed for two runs down the track and one additional time to have a friend look/hear at it. From a few other suggestions I have got it looks like I need a custom tune. Thanks for the input

Go into the "modify" section of the perfomace tune and remove max timing first...Make a pass down the street and see if goes away. If its still doing it start adding fuel untill it goes away and then add 1or2% more fuel for good measure!

No sense of getting a dyno tune or Custom tune yet unless you plan on never adding more boost. Just order your 4# lower then get the guys over @ RWTD to send you a tune via EMAIL. Better yet get your L to a vendor for a Grade A dyno tune
