I raced some guy from a message board that the locals hang out at in an rx7 last night. Apparently it was built and running well over stock boost, he had just got it broken in and wanted to whip up on my truck. Needless to say he lost by about 5 car lengths. After i beat him twice he had the best excuse ever.....he ripped a vacuum hose off his car(didnt think we were watching) and then called us over there and proceeded to tell us that he lost cause he was not getting any boost. Besides the hose he ripped off was from his BoV and does not affect boost anyway. Check out the thread...it starts about half way down the page with a guy named 3genrx7. My name is Mister Blender

I love our trucks and your story is great at calling out a lamer, but there is something not right with that kids car.

My best bud owns a severly mod'd FD and if this guy had "significantly more boost then stock" he should have atleast kept up.

The car only weights ~2300lbs. My friend is pushing 480rwhp out of his single-turbo (HKS) at 16lbs. The thing is a monster and can demolish my truck any day short of me built blocking/KB'ng it. He's just got sooo much better power-to-weight.

That video is funny as hell. The kid sure can't drive worth a damn. The wrx actually waited till the rx launched on the last run before it took off. The comentary was great. I also how the ricers on the other website were doggin ya about postin up here.

I owned a 93 RX7 TT and I sold it within 3 weeks for a 4th gen Camaro because I hated it. I dont like having to depend on everything being perfect to go fast. The exact RPM, exact gear etc. I much rather power at anytime

Alright I am the person he raced.

Background Info: Have driven a standard for 1 year. Have had the car for 1 year. 4 out of the 12 months the car was broken down. I paid for and replaced the engine myself. I do not have a BOV, i have the stock air bypass valves. I was only running 12psi and stock is 10psi. The hose I assume fell off before the first race on the way over there. I do not consider myself a ricer. I have an import but I do not go around flaunting ****. I have put everything into the rebuild and no money into anything else.


The day before I raced I had just finished breaking in my engine. So I had about 5 time to practice my launch. If you have owned a RX7 you know that launching is extremly hard to do right in this car. If you do not believe me go to rx7club.com and do a search about it in the 3rdgen section. I do not think I could bet him even if everything was running right.

What you people dont get is that I know I was killed and would lose even with my car running perfect. The point I am trying to make is that it was embarrising to myself at how badly I lost. I know I could have kept up better. One of your own members pointed that out.

Im not some punk kid running around in his dads car. I did the engine install. I have also installed a new clutch in it before the engine blew. I paid for all this **** with my money too.

I do think its ****ty for you to go running around talking **** when I had nothing but good things to say bout you till now.
