XM Radio

I have the Pioneer 4400BH in my truck. Just added the pioneer aftermarket XM Radio to it a couple days ago. When im driving and nothing overhead at all and just loses signal or when i go under some light trees it will lose signal. Is that normal or should i take it back and get the wiring looked at. I didn't think i would lose signal that easy with it especially when im in a parking lot with nothing at all above me. Thanks for any input.

I've had XM since January 2002 using Delphi SkyFi reciever in a cradle set up (currently have cradles in 4 cars, a pu trk, and two MCs and two boom boxes .... I shop Ebay) . There are rare times when a problem occurs with one of the satelites and signal suffers but I find it rare. Otherwise, I can account for signal dropping off due to trees or rock cliffs or severe weather with heavy clouds.

Well i took it back and they swapped out the antenna for a new one. Since then had no problems with signal. Even drove through the problem areas like before and this time worked fine. So seems like a faulty antenna. Thanks for the input im really enjoying it im actually about to add it to my house also.
