Hard wire XM

How can I wire the power to my Pioneer inno XM receiver ?
I don't want the lighter plug in sticking out all the time.

Get another cig lighter plug with about a 12inch wire lead on it and splice into the back of the indash lighter. That's how I power my XM receiver.

I just hooked up my sirius with an, fuse addon (one of these: http://www.bussmann.com/images/49377...7bb04a08b9.JPG) to fuse 22, is the fuse for the Delayed accessory power for audio, power door lock switch and moonroof switch illumination.

Bucky- how did you get this to fit in the #22 fuse slot ? I tried for over an hour yesterday and was unsucessful. It wouldn't seat far enough to make a good connection for power to remain on unless I pushed it down. Also the lead won't allow the fuse box cover to close unless there is a slot cut in the plastic edge of it. Thanks.

run a power and ground wire off your cig. lighter plug. The metal tip of the plug is power and the contacts on the sides of the plug are grounds. You can solder or just wrap and tape your wires on. Wire your power up to an ignition source such as the pink/black wire behind your radio and wire your ground to anything that carries a ground. The inno will power on with your radio

Personally, I'd install a three way adaptor inline rather then connecting just the XM power inline. That way you have two more plug ins for your work.

I had to trim the cover a bit to get it to fit
