Sirus XM ala carte and "Best of..." now available as of 10/2/08
Saw a press release this morning that the new combined services are now available.
For existing subs with existing subscriber equipment:
XM- Adds Best of Sirius including Stern, Martha Stewart, NASCAR, NFL play-by-play, select college play-by-play, and the Playboy channel. http://www.xmradio.com/bestofsirius/index.xmc
Sirius- Adds Best of XM including Oprah, PGA coverage, NHL news/talk, NBA play-by-play, select college play-by-play, XM public radio, and Opie and Anthony. http://www.sirius.com/bestofxm
New model radio (Starmate 5) was also announced that can receive the ala- carte programming and is the first available interoperable radio that can receive both programming from both service platforms.
