longer power cord?

I just finished installing my Sirius radio and i was able to hide all the cords except the cord from the power outlet. I was wondering if you can by a longer cord for the power?

You have 2 options:
#1) Buy a Cig lighter extension. (Sold at BBy)
#2) Cut the wires and wire more wire in.
