Am I missing something

I got Sirius radio for Christmas. I got the wires thru the 3rd light and everything else hooked up. How will it come thru my radio? Does the radio pick up the signal. I can't find anything in the book to tell me.

Check the main menu within the unit. It probably gives the option for FM modulation & channel selection, or Line out. Depending on the unit, you should be able to select from a variety of frequencies.

Hope this helps!

Happy New Year!

Tune your trucks radio to FM 88.1 and you should be in business. THe Sirius tuner transmits a FM signal that your trucks radio receives and plays via the FM tuner. I believe 88.1 is the default setting however you can change the Sirius unit to transmit at whatever frequency works best for you.

88.1 used to be the default, but now it varies based on unit. Push the menu button and scroll through the options to FM Modulator (or modulation) and then you'll see two things. 1) FM Modulator on/off and 2) Frequency selection Choose a frequency that when you tune your radio in to, there is no static. You can scroll through all the channels nowadays, whereas in the begining there were just 4 choices. If you need anymore help, let me know what unit you are using.

Went in great. Real easy installation. Cut a slit in the plug and it held the antenna wire. When I pushed the plug in it sealed around the wire tight. I put some chaulking on it also. I guess I missed the channel section in the book. But I was doing this while I am sick as a dog with a bad cold. Thanks for the post.
