Is it possible to disable the tape deck for Sirius?

I travel alot, and so the FM Modulator doesnt really work for me. Anyone know how to run the Sirius through the radio tape deck button? I hate to put an after market radio in knowing that I will lose my 6 disc changer.

Thanks in advance!!

Wired FM relay would work for you. Do you have a cassete deck, or just a button? if you have a cassete player, you can use this adapter as well. If you have a 2004+ F-150 w/ audiophile, you can buy a PIE adapter to use the AUX button too.

I have the in dash deck, however i dont want all the wires involved with the cassete adaptor. What is FM Relay? I am hoping to get true digital sound, and know that by using a tape adaptor I will be converting to analog. Thanks!

There is no way to get digital sound. Using line out with a cassete adapter will be just as good as any other possible means. If you don't want the wire,

This is the FM relay. It has two inputs and one output. The inputs are the OEM antenna and the included wire to the Sirius PNP unit. The output goes to the OEM HU. When the Ssat radio is on, the relay disconencts the vehicle antenna. Works well and sounds justas good as the cassette adapter I'm using in another vehicle.

How easy of an install is this? Do you know if they sell an adaptor that allows a after market unit to control the factory 6disc changer? If so I may just go with that option and run RCA cables to the after market unit.

I don't think any aftermakret HU's control OEM CD changers and RCA cables won't get you any better sound than wired FM or cassette. The wired FM modulator takes <5 minutes to install. Pull the trim piece off w/ hands, pull radio out w/ $3 removal tool or coat hanger, unhook antenna, plug into FM mod, plug into HU, install raio, install trim.
