I want to race, but am new!

Is there anything I should do maintenance wise to prepare for a trip to Sears Point raceway? I want to do the 1/4 mile for the fun of it... any suggestions to minimize wear and tear?

Thanks!

Remove your spare jack and have about a 1/4 of gas to make your truck lighter.

If you want to minimize wear and tear:
1. don't worry about doing a burn out in the waterbox
2. don't power brake above 1500 rpm, or for more then a second or two
3.don't do more then 27 runs , this is the hardest of all, it's just to much fun

Hey Mf150, where in Northern California are you located? I am from there as well and I was wondering maybe we could take a trip to Sears Point together or something, just a thought. I'm from Rohnert Park California, near Santa Rosa.

I'm from the the west bay area. About an hour away from you, I just go up the Golden Gate. My truck is in the shop having some body work done on it, so when it is out I'll let you know which day my friend and I are going...maybe we'll meet a Sears Point. A West Coast F-150/lightening rally!!!

Keep ya posted.
