If you take off at a dead sprint.... a minute and a half... if you don't get short of breath. LOL

Prolly 16.5 seconds

I am running very, very close to my buddies Hemi right now, with intake, exhaust, and superchips 87 tune but he also has 33's. I wanted to get to the track this year but couldn't make it because it is 2.5hours away.

Really?? That seems a bit slow to me. My 97 4.2L "bone stock" with 3.08 gears ran best ET of 18.02 @ 78 mph on 255/70r16 AT tires and that was with the spare tire in the bed along with about 25lbs of other junk. I know my truck has nowhere near 300 HP so I would imagine your truck should be a lot faster. I'm not knocking you or anything it just that the numbers seem odd to me compared to my truck.

I would suspect neither of you are running a full 1/4.

Tradtionally, the F150 looks good for the first 330' and even the 1/8th.
It's that second half where you get eat up.

I ran 3 runs last spring.

'06 S-crew with 3.55 gears and the following:

K & N drop in filter
Edge Evolution on setting 2
2.5" exhaust with Magnaflow muffler
OEM 18's

I did two back to back 16.9's @ 83

I preloaded the tranny everytime. The third run I ran a 16.78 @ 83

I'm hoping for high 15's next time I go back with my new mods.

the famed HEMI's lose power now as dodgee in an effort to get cheaper only put the HEMI Heads on with out the HEMI pistons and they loose compression!!! dodge and there short cuts for money. also this has been stated alot fords numbers in the book=Flywheel. im hoping to get my truck dynoed soon. 97 f-150 4x2 book says 210 added K&N 77 pacesetter shortys no cat true duel dynomax super turbos and E-fans. any one wanna stab at what i should be making close to? *for HP i dont know the loss in power and all that kind of stuff* also what would i run? i have dunlap radial rovers 265/70/R16 the back tires are a lil low on air and they grip right away on the street. but if they have the right amount of air my truck churps the tires. Also does preloading really help that much?

kinda sad but oh well i dont have the time or money to do anything that cannot be done in a weekend. all those mods stacked up gave me some good gas mileage thoe. started at 10 MPG with stock everything and im around about 16MPG in the city. so they've paid for them selfs...cant wait till next weekend when me and Jbrew go at it.

With a '97, you'd benefit nicely from a set of PI heads
