im getting there!!

I just finished tuning my '88 302 and am running 8.7 in the 1/8. I was wondering how i can modify my suspension to make it a little softer in the rear. I have traction bars but if i dont use slicks i cant hook up, and yes i realize i am in a full size truck with no weight in the rear but i was expecting a little more out of the 270/65 BFG's. I was thinking of pulling some leafs but didnt know if that would help any? I also heard that if i drill holes in my front shocks it will help the weight transfer quicker? Just trying to improve my 60'
