Stock times before Charging!

Went to the track last week. I wanted to get some stock times before I installed my charger. 10.73 was my best...1/8th of course. 10.76 and 10.77. Pretty consistant. I was actually surprised at the times. Raced a GT and a SC Harley truck...they where only running 9.6's 9.7's.
I can't wait to install. I hoping for low 9's

Good luck with the procharger. I am going to keep my F150 stock, so I can pull my GTP to the track. I ran an 8.2 1/8th last time at the track, with some tuning, I would like to get in the 7's.

I have a buddy who's 92 silverado runs 8.20's all motor. I think he ran a 7.80 on the hose. Still awesome for a 4,500 lbs truck.

When you say GTP, you mean a Mustang Prochargered?

It is a Grand Prix, they come with a M90 roots blower from the factory. It does pretty good for a little V6...

The big trucks running times like that is just nuts. I guess there is a guy that lives close to me that runs 11's in the 1/4 in his silverado.

Dang, That's pretty close to Parish's truck. His last run was a 10.08 at Drag Week. That truck's cool
I have another buddy who has a Twin T Mustang. It's not completely running right but in 5th gear, at 90 mph, when the turbos start spoolin, it blows the tires. SCARY! That thang is wicked fast. That's why I asked if GT meant mustang.
V6's and 4 bangers still amaze me as to how much power they can produce.

When you say GTP, you mean a Mustang Prochargered? I said Prochargered!!

I'd have to see it in person to believe a car can spin the tires at 90mph. I'd love to see that, even at 45mph.

I have yet to run mine at the track since I got it charged and tuned. I'll be curious to see how my times compare once I have a chance. Probably won't be until Spring now though. Too much snow and ice.

I kinda want to go and get some 1/4 mile times before I charge. There is a track about 1-1/2 away in Steele, AL. I figure that's where I'll see the most gain. I recon they are still running down here on weekends. Good luck with yours dufunnel

My grand prix will break the tires loose at 38mph... I just bought a new motor for it. If I can come up with the money, I plan on doing a turbo. It should pull 10's in the 1/4 mile...

I cannot picture this in my mind because I have never seen it, would you like to find me a video of a 10 second car spinning them @ 38mph or better. I can't even spin them from a stand still without powerbraking.

I know a guy around here with a early 90's chebby. has a 383 stroker in it. Tons of engine mods, full long tube exhaust and new ring a pinion (dunno ratio)... His truck will break em loose at about 55... I rode with him when he did it once.
