How do you seal copper head gaskets?

After all my hard work and dollars spent, i fired up my 351W stroked to 393 and i have a coolant leak in the head gasket. Man am i pissed. I guess i am asking the question kinda late but how are you SUPPOSE to seal a cooper head gasket on installation?

I made a bad mistake with copper head gaskets once. I didn't realize that the block had to be O-ringed first. I hope you didn't make the same mistake. Besides that, there is a sealent made by rolls royce that everyone likes to use around their water passages.

In my old alcohol motor days I used to spray each side of the gasket with silver spray paint and immediately install them. The
heads were O-ringed.
