I use Opera, which shows page loading speed in the status bar - and even when the site is responsive, the speeds are pretty bad - maybe 10k/sec tops - and my DSL is good to about 300k/sec. Right now, the site is a bit sluggish, and the speeds are bouncing between 2 and 6k/sec. I generally get 80k/sec from responsive sites.

I finally switched to Safari the other day... for some reason it would lock up IE every few minutes... seems to be working well now, but still a tad slow

I now can see a possible reason for the low numbers I'm getting - with all the ads and images hosted on external sites, the page calls have to go out to a lot of external sources. The status bar says "sending request to xxxxx" quite a few times.

If it seems to be slow at 17 minutes past the hour, that could possibly be when the backup is taking place?

Numerous timeouts on the main forum page between 8:15PM CST and now. Page loads dragging.

It defiantly lags on this site, pages at times are very slow to load as much as 5-7seconds. I don’t think it’s normal, because I don’t experience that issue with any other forums I visit.

When it lags it will say in the corner that it's loading some type of ad I think and if memory serves me right it's -" doubleclick.****" and "ad...***." and "jd********something.

My most recent load problem was today and it said waiting for www.f150online.com (about 8seconds). I actually closed the browser and re-opened it because it took so long.
