Well, I went ahead and ordered a...

pair of flowtech exhaust cutouts. I have a friend that is going to buy the second one from me and I had $70 credit at the local truck performance center. I plan on getting them installed on Thursday as long as I can find somebody to do it in front of the high flow cat.

On a side note I just got hold of a brand new k&n air filter, but not an fipk. If I cut a whole in the bottom of the air box will it help out at all. I don't know if it's too close to the plastic inner fender to really bring in a significant amount of air. I'm not looking for seat of the pants gain, I just want to maximize what I have.

I'll try to get sound clips of the truck if I can get the cutout installed where I want it, if not I'll keep shopping around 'till I can find a place.

well, i bet that 351 will sound great with a cutout. by the way, butting the bottom of the airbox is a GREAT free mod. there was a guy here a couple of months ago named macgyver (btw where is he??) and he told us about it. try the search, he had pics of his airbox after he cut it. i did the same thing to mine and dropped in a K&N and i can definitely tell a difference (it even makes your exhaust a bit louder). good luck!

no need to cut out your box, I bought a supercharger and it comes with a ford factory ram air assembly. It replaces the tube that goes above the radiator and mounts behind the grille.

Baw, how do you like the supercharger? Is it the Silent drive one (belt) or the oild fed one? Did it add a nice increase in power?
