What is the real difference besides the top end of the truck 302 and the mustang 302? I just bought a 94 F-150 302 AOD and I'm am already missing the power of my Lightning. All I can think of is making into a Lightning. I bought the truck because I need the extended cab. What are the best mods to get decent power out of the F-150 302 motor?

Also, what are the possibilties of swapping an E4OD to replace the AOD?

the upper and lower intake are diff. but you can swap a mustangs to it. the cam is a rollor in the mustang but the truck I think is tappet (a 94 might have a rollor but I am not sure)

I have a bud that has a gen 1 "L" and he has had the e4od replaced 3x. One big problem is there is not realy an aftermarket for the e4od trans. IT would prob. be best to build the aod up since it would be cheaper on parts and you could get some lentech(sp?), artcar(sp?) stuff to put in the aod at rebuild. Not too mention the efod is an electric O/D that you would have to splice and wire too work.
