5.0 to 4.9 swap

So i have a 94 f150 2wd with the 4.9l staright six. It runs great, but the body is rusted to pieces. I bought another 94 f150 4wd with the 5.0 v8, motor is blown and the body is almost perfect Was going to put the 4.9 in the 4wd truck. From what i gather the swap can be done. Was asking to see if i was missing anything for the swap. Everthing from the 4.9 motor swapped to the 4wd.(mounts, and wiring)lEngine should bolt to trans. Need to swap fuel pumps. Anything else im missing?

Fuel lines from the filter forward. Motor mount perches (frame). ECM. Possibly the section of underhood wiring harness from the ECM to the engine harness connection.Air Intake hoses and MAF sensor - if they're both equipped w/MAF - if one is and the other isn't, definitely the underhood (engine comartment) wiring harness. Rad, fan shroud and hoses of course.
Exhaust pipes and convertor. Make sure that both transmissions are the same (4R70W or E4OD).
I think that's pretty much all of it.

1994 was a transition year from speed density to MAF - you could see either on either engine. Either way, if it's speed density you can do a MAF conversion.

Transmissions - all 94 4.9 automatics were E4OD, almost all 94 5.0 automatics were 4R70W. A E4OD computer will not operate a 4R70W, and vice versa. Either one of those transmissions will physically bolt up to either one of those engines, but 2wd and 4wd transmissions are not interchangeable because of the different tailshafts. The 5 speed stick is the same way - will bolt to either engine but different tailshafts for the drive system, the 4.9 and 5.0 used the same Mazda M5OD.

glc, I owned a 94 F150 SWB 4x4 with a 5.0 V8 and it came with the E40D transmission. That was what was on the door sticker.

You had one of the few 94 5.0's with E4OD. Most were 4R70W.
