408W build head size.

Hey guys
I am about to start ordering all the parts for my 408 stroker but i am having a hard time choosing heads to base the rest of my build off of. I really like the Trick Flow high ports. My question is would the 195s let my 408 breath or do i have to get the 225s? (significantly more expensive)
It will be a daily driver so i want to go with a milder cam and duel plane intake to keep it crisp. I plan on running a Quick Flow SS 780 carb as well. This is my first engine build and i don't want to build some Frankenstein that smothers all the power i know a 408 can make. I would love to hear what some more experienced people think. I'd like to see 530hp 550 ft lbs torque but i wouldn't be disappointed with 500.

I'm also planning on incorporating a water/methanol injection setup into my build to keep em cool and regulate the 11:1 compression ratio to run on lower octane fuel.

Personally, I would run the smaller valves. I think you will be happy with the power in a daily driver, especially with the high compression.

FWIW, the extra displacement does allow you to get away with hotter cam specs. A cam that feels a little too wild in a 351 may be just right in a high compression 408.

Sounds like a really fun build.
