1969 F-100 Questions

Hey guys, I need some opinions on this truck I found online. I hope this is the right section to put this. I have not actually looked at it yet. It is a 1969 mostly original F-100. It has a 302 V8. It came from the factory in Ontario, Canada with a 240cid V6 according to the VIN. The owner says it has hooker headers and dual exhaust and 101K on the odometer. It has never been wrecked and is showing some surface rust on the front quarter panels. He says the interior is near perfect and it runs and performs excellent. So my question is... what is the value on a truck like this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
... also are there any specific things I should look for or concerns with this era truck. Thanks again!

I would say your best bet is just to go look at it and see what you think. What is the guy asking for it?

It's a 45 year old vehicle... You have to look at everything! Find out what year 302 is in it and when it was swapped in, just so you know what maintenance parts to get for it.

Looks really clean and straight for 45 years old! But, you'll want to look for rust mostly.. Bottom of the doors, tailgate, bed, fenders, etc.

You don't see too many short beds, so that could raise the price some..

"What's it worth?" Whatever you are willing to pay for it..

What's your plans for it? How bad do you want it? Go take a look and judge from there...

Good luck!

Would say your biggest bugger expenses (aside from how much rust you can live with) will be replacing all rubber in mounts, joints, etc. Suspension, I would presume, is going to be noisy if neglected.

I do love those old models though...

When I talked to the guy yesterday he said all of the door and window gaskets have been replaced too and it has a spray-in bedliner from the first owner. He is the second owner. It has a carbureted 302, so I assume it would have to be at the newest an 80's version. I don't know what year Ford started fuel injecting those.
Well I just talked to the gentleman about the truck to set up an appointment to go look at it. He has decided not to sell. He is really torn about getting rid of it. He originally indicated he was selling to buy a safer vehicle for his 16 year old daughter to drive, but now his family is telling him not to sell. I am first on his list, though, if their plans change... maybe next time. I appreciate his honesty instead of blowing me off. Thanks for the opinions, guys.

I can respect that from the seller... It's a nice clean looking ride. The last carbed 302 was in the 85 Mustang GT if I recall.. I had an 86 GT with FI.. (wish I still had it...)

There might have been 'truck' 302's that still had carbs on them after that?? I remember my Dad bought a 89 Bronco and it had a FI 302, but he said that was the first year offered because he had to wait to get it..

You don't see too many of those on the market, so they are far and few inbetween..
