Hey guys,
New to the forum and this is my first post so here it goes. Ive got a 1990 ford F150 xlt lariat 5.0l. Ive got some issues it seems really hard to start lately,very little get up and go power,exhaust smells like fuel And a very rough idle sometimes stalls out. I was thinking it might be the map sensor u guys have any ideas what the problem might be?

 

Map sensor is a common problem, they are relatively cheap.

Have you tried reading out the EEC for any trouble codes?

 

I just ordered a code reader so will be running them probably monday

 

Don't need to wait for a obd1 tester if you are wanting to know sooner. The site that used to detail how to do it crashed a little bit ago, but here is a post how to get it done.
