8-10 mpg :( any suggestions

Alright so I understand I'm driving a heavy metal box that is aerodynamicaly ***. But im breaking the bank on gas.

Granted I put a 4 inch lift and 33's on it but I thought I might atlesst get 12-13

I rebuilt the whole motor all stuck new gaskets injectors sensors brass cap coil rotor 9mm wires autolite plugs gapped .50 cleaned the intake and throttle body to new condition, new air filter, new oil, tranny fluid, coolant, rears. Practically a new engine and suspension. got shorty headers no cat and a borla muff. Any suggestions?

Will a MAF conversion benifit me?

How about
e fan
underdrive pullys
chips or tuners
???

That sounds about right to me for a big '93. I absolutely love that body style, but they're thirsty. If it makes you feel any better, my 2006 non-lifted, but leveled front and back, 2wd screw with long tubes, no cats, Borla catback, 33s (275/60/20), and custom tuning usually gets mpg in the 11s. Granted, I drive it hard, but still. And mine is much newer, so it "should" be getting "better" gas mileage.

Blowing a lot more money on mods in the name of saving money via gas mileage is simply counter-intuitive (most of the time). One of your biggest problems may be that your speedometer and odometer/trip meter(s) are inaccurate because of the bigger tires and you're getting better mileage than you think. Some chips/tuners would be able to account for this, but all correcting that would really do is make you feel better because it would still be getting the same actual mileage. I'd have to think regearing would be your best investment for what you're looking for, especially if you're 2wd, depending on how much city driving you do. But even that would have to be for both mpg and performance to justify the cost.

I get around 10 to 12 on my 1995 F-150 XLT 4X4-Auto Trans'-Regular Cab-Short Bed with a 2 1/2 Lift with 33x12.50 BFG's.I tried Exhaust-K&N,and afew other things, and it really didn't do much.So I finally figured I'm stuck with my MPG's.When you go for looks over Stock your going to suffer in some ways, and MPG's is the main one unfortunately.

Which engine, transmission, and gear ratio? 2wd or 4wd? Is the odometer corrected for the big tires? Where is the O2 sensor relocated to? Any EEC codes?

Yeah figured she was just a boat

I got the 302, AOD (T) trans, 355 gears, 4wd, adjusted the psom on the odometer to 8.59 for the bigger tires.
O2 sensor is(stock) before the cat (if I had one). And my check engine light is on but I havent read the code yet, where can I plug in a code reader?

You need an OBD I code reader.

The port is under the hood, on the drivers side fender, close to the firewall and near the master cylinder.

If you google 1993 Ford F150 OBD connector you will find some images of the exact location.

You don't necessarily need a code reader but one would be easier to use.
