Magnaflow or Flowmaster single or dual

93 f150 xlt rebuilt 302 headers cap coil rotor wires and plugs.

So flowmaster or magnaflow

Ive head you gain some sound with flowmaster but loose some power

And should I stay single exhaust alot of people said I should. I like the look of dual tips can I do single muffler then split to dual tips without loosing anything. Or should I just stick with single out the side.

depends on your mods. NA or charged, Cams, TB and so on. Sometimes you just gotta do what YOU like. I wouldn't use flowmaster IMHO. I lost power with a American thunder flowmaster. Personally I like magnaflow, Borla and OBX-r

Yeah ive been hearing that alot about flowmaster as far as my mods go its a stock 302 just rebuilt original cam etc.. I just upgraded to headers high performance cap coil rotor plugs and wires

Ive heard alot of people say gping dual exhaust will loose some needed back presure. What are ypu feelings on this. Should I keep a single muffler then y pipe it to tips.

If you have headers and want duals, go true duals with an X-pipe.

back pressure is not an issue. True dials with x pipe would be a great edition.

if ya want the 50's sound and don't wanna do a lot of modifying leave the single in use a glass pack and put a y and dual tail pipes or go true dual with an H pipe, two glass packs and your dual pipes out the back, that's how my 95 stock 302 is set up runs really well and sounds awesome like the fifties has a nice cackle under heavy acceleration and deceleration and nice rumble under normal running, and yes magnaflow and borla are also great, heard a lot of bad things about flowmaster also

I had flownasters I loved then super loud and nice nasty sound at wot and a nice crackle on deceleration. But if you can afford borla definitely go for it!

Will the s type give me a nice aggressive sound? ive looked up a couple sound clips and a few sound a little to quiet for what I want. And is it a good choice for low rmp range like off the line ive heard alot of bad things about flowmaster in that area.

You gotta remember that any muffler is going to sound much quieter than yours unless they have headers too. Headers make a big difference in sound. Could go with a ProXS, which are available in a single in/dual out. XR-1's sound killer, but are pretty expensive and I think they're best for true duals. I'd stay with a ProXS. No need to blow $600 on just mufflers. Headers sound much better with true duals and an X pipe though. I have long tubes and a SI/DO Borla (one they designed specifically for Roush, otherwise I'd tell you what it is) with a Y pipe and regret not having an X.

I want to say the s-type is the name of a catback kit, but I could be wrong.

Do you have the stock muffler on the truck now? Cause you'd be really surprised how loud your truck will be with any small(er) muffler.

You can't go wrong with anything Borla, seriously. Personally, I like Borla more, but same deal with Magnaflow, they all sound good.
