AIR pump and rough idle help

Well, I did it again. I sold the Dodge and got another F150. Shes a 1994 F150 XLT with a built up 5.0 and a 5 speed manual. What I need help with is removing or figuring out the emissions, more specifically the AIR pump(it has no cats, so it doesn't matter). I would honestly just like to get rid of it all. The PO shoved this engine in from another truck and kinda rigged the AIR pump on there and it makes a terrible noise. What is all required to get rid of that? The other thing I need help with is the idle. It has long tube headers, so I know its going to run somewhat rich, but I don't think its supposed to run this rich. When you first start the truck in the morning the idle will shoot up to 1500+ rpms and stay there until you tap the gas pedal. It also will bog down and nearly die when you give it a small bit of gas when you start it up. After a few minutes its fine. I'm thinking the TPS is bad, anything else I should look into? It idles like its cammed, although its not. Thanks for any help.

Also, truck isn't used on streets. It's a toy right now(Can't decide to lift it and mud it or drag race it)

The truck surges when I'm driving and put it in neutral to coast up to a light. The idle goes between 1100 rpm and 600 rpm.
