1989 f-150 sputter/loss of power

Hello everyone. I recently purchased a 1989 Ford F150 Custom, 5.0L. I paid $200 for it, because it has the following issues:

- Hard start (have to spray carb cleaner when it's warm to get it started sometimes)
- Stalls on first start up unless quickly revved
- Sputters and loses all power when you floor it, whether you are in park or drive.
- Runs like crap
- backfires when you floor it

What I have tried:

- High pressure fuel pump (along frame rail)
-Spark plugs
- Cleaning the Intake/throttle body

I attempted to take it to a local shop to have the fuel filter changed as I suspected that, but they said it doesn't have one. I tried looking and couldn't find it.

Here is some background, as I'm sure you're stumped too.

When I bought it the kid told me he ran bad gas in it then it started running like this, but I doubt it.

Oh and I'm not sure if this is related, but the engine has a pretty hard knock when it's warm. And also I'm not sure if the Oil Pressure reads correctly, at idle it sits below LOW all the way down until you rev it. I thought the gauge was bad but idk.

Any input?

Would love to see this thing have power again. The moment you floor it, it backfires and sputters to really low rpm.

Sounds like it may be time to start looking for another engine.
