1996 f150 ( 5.0 ) 4x4... I need help on a few topics

As I listed I have a 1996 f150 4x4. I'm having a issue with the Manuel lock in hub. The but it self will lock in , when it's in 4 wheel drive everythang works. But the outer shell has 6 bolts or so that hold it on I tightened them up as tight as possible but I can still move the outer shell. An it's lose when I pulled the shell of there is like a little gear in the center it's spring loaded I guess nothing looked damaged of anythang. Other than that being lose when I'm driving or turning I hear a clanking sound coming from the hub. So it's in y'all's hand I'm to the point of installing new hubs not sure what to do all help will be appreciated

Shop around, but you can usually get a set for around 100 bucks. Takes about a half hour to swap 'em out.

Summit racing should have good prices on a set of new hubs. They have fast shipping too and its free if you spend over 99 bucks. I always buy from them when I can never had any problems
