Curt front trailer hitch revue

super ez intstall on my 95 xl. did not need to trim the factory plastic air effects. the metal fabrication is first rate . like the addition of two tow loops up front. the powder coat on it was less then stellar with edges flaking off while moving it around on install. hit those with rustoliem . lost about three inches ground clearance. plan on using a reciever hitch pan to carry my generator up front as the slide in camper goes over the tailgate. put coil over shocks and lift1000 airbags in the springs on the front. for the least expensive of the front hitches offered for the truck i would recomend it . have some paint handy , but to frame bolt on. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Curt-Front-Mount-Trailer-Hitch-31026-for-1992-1996-Ford-F-150-/140869861903?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AF-150%7CYear%3A1995&hash=item20cc7f820f&vxp=mtr

I try to front hitch all my trucks for winches and tire racks.

My old '95 had to have some special fabbing to work with the swaybar drop brackets for the lift.

Can't remember if this was a Curt or not, but I did have to trim the front air dam to tuck it up close on a '92-'96 front end.

No one I've found makes a bolt on for the '87-'91 trucks, so those I usually end up building from scratch.

I've had a Curt on the front of my 95 for three years. You are right, it was easy and very useful. I put a cargo hauler on the front to load our big cooler when we go camping. I've also had a bike carrier. If I need to get my camper or boat into a tight spot it could be easier to push it rather than back it in. I also have Curt hitches on my GTI and Highlander. They are a quality product. I have a picture of my truck with the cooler mounted on the front in my online garage but my tablet won't let me copy and paste the link.

had issues with the kurt hitch and the hellwig sway bar wanting to be in the same place, so removed the hitch. going to see if i can use some washers and longer hardened bolts so everything can play nice. need the sway bar, but also need the hitch for my gen.. will post up a pic when i get it sorted out.
