Question 302 with t18 manual trans?

Hello, i am wondering if anyone can answer my question.
I am looking into swapping out my ruined M50D-R2 for a t 18
and i found a guy online selling a t18 that came off a 302 from a 1987 f250.

But here is my question would that transmission fit on my 302 from my 1990 f150? also what would i need for the swap, was a 302 with t18 a factory option?

Thanks

It is a little fuzzy on the last year of the T18 in the half tons, but 89 for sure at most. Up 'till '94 the syncro'd first gear cousin T19 was available as a rare "option" on the 300 and 302 when in the '80s the T19 was only an option with the diesels.

All 300, 302, 351W blocks are the identical bell housing bolt pattern and will swap. You will need the driveshaft modified as the M5OD is a bit longer than the four speeds, but that also hinges around the cab and bed length as well.

Also 4x4 and 4x2 units are obviously not interchangeable.

Well, without the clue of what was 4x4 or not from your first post, I wasn't able to determine before, but the front shaft from the donor truck will work on your application. Rear shaft being from a long box truck will not.

a custom drive shaft?

Thanks
