1994 F150 stalls often and sputters on highway
Hey all! New to the community
I have a 1994 F150 easter egg blue/green truck made in Cali with 370,000 miles on it, and It's stalled a couple of time on me in drive-thrus and once in bumper to bumper traffic on a highway. It also tries to die on the highway when i'm steady at 65. I have to floor the throttle to get her going smooth again but it doesn't always work. I know it's not the oxygen censor, just replaced that along with the air filter. Any suggestions?
NOTE* there's also a ticking sound coming from the driver's side of the engine. When that ticking sound happens the engine weakens with every tick.

That ticking sound is an exhaust leak and gets louder when under load. But have you chec ked the timing? Maybe a fuel pump too. I have another licoln that trys fo stall on the highway it was the fuel pump. Hope this helps

Howdy and welcome to the basement. Pull codes and report back. Fill in your truck profile info as well.

96 Ford F-150 straight 6 cyclinder running issues
we've recently bought this truck from a local dealer for our son. We drove the truck for about 2 months with no problems at all. It started to shake upon cranking, giving it some throttle would level the engine. While driving it just dies. Try to crank it, and it just spins. Like it wasn't firing. So I've since replaced the , distributor, cap , rotor button, ignition switch under the gear column, ( module) on the firewall, and coil. It seems like something is getting too hot and stalling the engine. Once it cools for half or an hour, it cranks great. I'm out of ideas and tired of spending and not getting any results.
