Bad, Bad transfer case noise i think, help please.

Hi all, I'm new. I have a 93 f150 with 35k on it. 5.8 1/2 ton, Auto trans, electric shift t/case, factory auto hubs. It is all stock except for an aussie locker in the rear. Starting a few days ago, when I turn sharp and apply signifigant throttle, i'm sure the front diff engages. Also small brake applications from a stop there is a small noise, hard stops, lots of bad gear noise. Could my t/case have broken a snap ring causing my stack up to shift. I was a GM guy so all this is new to me. It's wierd, I swear my front diff applies when I crank it and hit the gas in 2wd. I crawled under and turned d/shafts, made sure hubs spin free ect. But I can't really lay under it under a hard stop on flooring it and cranking it. Thanks all! The noises and clunk I'm feeling is not the aussie locker.

Well, it was the left front brake pad slapping around, i didn't clamp the outside pad ears down enough, and a lf hub that was partially engaging some times, fixerd pads, ordered warn premium hubs.

The aussie locker will make quite a bit of noise after it winds up and releases. Especially after going around turns. If that's where your noise is coming from its normal for that locker.

Back up what you want. As a point of info to the OP an Aussie makes an awfull sound when going around turns. Replace parts if that suits you.

When you change your auto hubs to manuel, what are the modifications? can you do it on an electric shifter?

Here's another post from the OP ,, different thread.

Some times when I go over big bumbs, or big ruts, but primaraly when I'm turning sharp left I get a huge clunking under the floor board. I swear it feels like the t/case yoke is hitting the floor board(obviously it's not). Every thing is tight, bolts nuts all there, radius arm bushings like new, ball joints ok. I can get it to get real loud on cement going up a hill around a corner if i get into it and don't let the locker ratchet. It's not the locker making the noise anyways. It's like someone is hitting my floor board with a hammer. Any suggestions please?

By the way, hellen keller could tell the difference between the locker unloading and this front end pop I have. Trust me the Aussie locker is not this concern. It sounds like a midget under my floor board with a balpine hammer.....

MY front drive shaft slip splines were pretty dry. I don't know if that would rattle around in 2wd. Well see if that helps. Any suggestions please, this noise is terrible.

Transfer case engagement style has no bearing on the hubs up on the front axle.
