94 "Theft" light issues Won't Start
This has me stumped. Basically, the short of it is...
I had a short circuit which was causing my odometer to not work, so I purchased a new one. swapped it out, thinking this was the problem, which it wasn't. Found the short circuit, replaced the fuse, swapped the odometer back, and now the theft light is blinking. It turns over but won't start. I have no remote. It's a 94 f-150, I'm assuming there is no chip in the key, its just a small plastic headed one. Is there some way to eliminate this whole anti-theft garbage, I don't care about it. the truck is almost 20 years old. I just need it to run.
Any help or info to where I could find something would be great. Thanks

Also the theft light only blinks when the door is open, when it is closed it is off, and when i turn the key to on it shuts off.
What i think is happening is that when I manually unlock the door the computer isn't seeing that i unlocked it, and there for when the door plunger is released it thinks someone broke in, but even with the doors shut it won''t start. It's like a latching relay has engaged and won't disengage.
