Passenger side window acting up

Hello everyone, so I was working today, and I went to put the passenger side window and it went up about half way and stopped and started to make a popping noise. I put it back down and when it got all the way down, it started making the noise again. After that I went to try it again and it did the same thing. I had to press the button and push the window up. Now here is my question: will I need to replace the window regulator or the motor? An how hard is it to replace what needs to be replaced. Many thanks in advance.

I'm no truck genius but my grandpa's truck did this same thing. It ended up being the motor and he had me replace it and I got it eventually. It ain't too hard.

The motor's likely to be OK there's a frigging plastic drive gear in there that comes apart

Easy fix.

You can pick these up from the Help section of napa or such.

I don't have the Help brand part number offhand right now for the regulator pins, but if yer joint doesn't stock it, I know napa sells the gear assembly for like 8 bucks.
