does this sound right?

I have a 94 f150 5.0l maf, and was told that a rebuild with 1 point compression gain and aftermarket cam would be about a 20% power gain what do you guys think?

Depends on the cam specifications. If you were going to put in a different cam and raise the compression, might as well put some GT40 heads on there and complete the setup.
