1994 F150 Door Lock Cylinder

The other day my driver's side door lock wouldn't open with my key and yet it would lock and unlock manually from inside the truck. So after a little advice from a locksmith I popped off the door panel and took a look to see if the lock actuating rod had simply come loose. To my dismay I found the plastic lever between the lock cylinder and the actuating rod had broken.

I can't seem to find this piece anywhere online!

I have thrown a screw through the plastic lever and into the lock cylinder and for the moment it seems to be holding. However I would like to replace it with a new one if I can find it.

I am not overly close to a wreckers and can't find this part listed seperately on Ford's Parts Website.

Does anyone know if and where I can find this piece?

My truck is a 1994 F150 XL Supercab with manual locks and windows.

Ford does have the part as I've bought them in the past.

Check lmc, bronco graveyard, and rockauto.
If it's a common failure part, dorman will have it in advanced auto parts as well.

what did you end up doing.. I'm in the same boat.. rock auto doesn't have one and it looks like Doorman doesn't make it.. The dealer the only option?

Check FordPartsGiant & TeamFordParts. But it's not expensive from Ford - call them. IIRC, it's ~$6. I collect them in junkyards.

Still haven't actually acquired the part I need, though as I have jimmied a fix I'm not in a panic. Ford Canada claims that the part does does not come seperately and that I have to buy the whole cylinder, which is crap because I know you can get it in the U.S. seperately through the dealer.

I am currently trying to source it out through my local Wurth rep, who seems to believe he can get it for me. safado if you live in the states you can definately get it from Ford for about $12, at least thats what I was quoted. While I never looked at the sites that Steve83 recomends, they seem like a good place to try.

And thanks to adrianspeeder for posting that pic, it helped alot!
