bordom mixed with spair parts

so i got the b&w t18 trans in my truck. hurst makes a shifter for the m5 but not t18 nor does anyone so i had a spare t18 from one of my other trucks n got to work.

first i didnt like how far down the shifter went so i bent the shaft up but that made it a little to tall

second i cut the shaft down to a comfortable length

then i had a b&m t handle shifter from my 86 cutlass but the shaft was 2 thick to tap to the right size so i found a sholder bolt that the sholder was the right thickness and tapped that

after all that i welded both together ground it smooth and put a fresh coat of aluminum engine enamil on it

now i have a perfect arm placment with this new shifter

the black is the original the silvers the one i modified

perfect hight and with the t handle turnt make a nice comfortable hand position

side profile i like it

what do u guys think

Great attempt at rubbing it in there Russo...... FAIL!!!!!
His shifter is BUILT not BOUGHT!!!!
Since people here mod stuff and attach their names to it (gotts mod etc) can we call this the Hillbilly Hurst??
Just kidding. But seriously, it looks good!! good job!

I wasn't trying to rub it in, I actually like the curves on the old stick, the first time I saw a 5 speed was in an s10 and I thought it was retarded cause I was used to the 4 speed style ones.
Do you have a full parts truck lost?
