wiper motor?

Can anyone take a pic of thier windshield wiper motor for me? I am kinda confused on getting a new one...
Mine looks just like this one,
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...10944&ci_sku=#
but is it the same one? Was their different motors?
I know that sounds stupid but I was going to buy a motorcraft one and it required a different plug...

Great, I guess Autozone didn't know what they were talking about...seems easy to me. Just pull three bolts and two clips and swap out. Try and do that some time here soon hopefully.

Jesus all the truck have the same damn problems!
Except my low and intermittent started to work today for a little
Lookin at swapping motors from a donor truck or tearing into mine and diagnosing the problem in the motor.
I know there are different plugs, idk why, year model truck van idk. There was a thread a month or two ago about changing the plugs, You can buy adapter harnesses though. As far as I know.

I believe the motors changed in 92. But to buy a harness and a newer motor seems a little evasive. Personally I'd replace it with one that belongs on the truck. You've got to remember that these trucks are 20+ years old. Things are going to fail. I think its safe to say you wouldnt have to replace it again unless your a sentimental fool. Like me!

I'm gunna ask about pullin one from the parts truck then.
It's an 87. I guess I'll look at plug count before tearing into it.
I just wanna get it fixed before winter.. I hate when the wipers are halfway across the windshield and just stop. Then it looks like they are having an epileptic spasm trying to park.

I know what you mean. My wipers have high speed and nothing else. They won't even think about parking on there own. I have to sit there and play with the switch and time it just right. I've been debating on what is more important right now. Time or money. I have a perfectly good motor on my red truck but I don't know that I want to rip it apart to get it out and the rip into my blue one to put it in. The cowl isn't the easiest thing to take off. You have to remove the antenna, wiper arms (they're prone to being seized,) remove old motor, drink a couple beers, explain to the wife why its taking so long, look for dropped screws, and then reinstall. Then hope like Hell its in the right rotation. At least that was my experience the last and only time I've replaced one.

Edit: BTW having another set of hands to help remove the hood will make things a tad easier.

You're makin me not wanna do this, I'll end up pulling the one from the parts truck and installing it on mine a month later.
I have high almost all the time but after a few swipes it stalls. Always parks though.
If it ever stops working completely a few hits on the motor gets it working, I know thats bad for an electric motor though.
I'm thinking I might pull the hood from my truck to help though, it needs re aligned anyway, sits high on the passenger side enough for me to notice everyday and get mad.

These describe the revised connector:

.

It's possible (but not fun) to remove either the motor arm or the clip from the arm simply by pulling the motor out and working thru the gap. But lifting the valance is a good opportunity to clean all the leaves & crap out of the w/s trim & cowl.

.

I've heard a rumor that the lower w/s trim clips are back in production, so it might not be such a big deal to break the steel part on the cowl. Just don't break the plastic part on the trim.

And run the chance of ruining a perfectly straight and rusty hood.
