Older Trucks Pre-1980

How many older trucks are on here? I have a 1970 F-100 Sport Custom. I mostly see 95+ on the forums.

Well it isn't necessarily 95+ But there are more late 80's and up than pre 80

I have a '69 F-100 Custom Cab - long bed Styleside, 240 six, automatic, manual everything else. Had to park it recently - it's in bad need of a complete (and I mean complete) rebuild, ground up.

1974 F350 DRW flat bed with gooseneck hitch and ICC tailend. 410 engine with a 4 speed manual. Comp cam and duals. Holley 750 on top, mostly Accel ignition parts. Pulls like it could move the earth. I've has as much as 34,000 on the trailer plus the 10,000 lbs the trailer weighs. Pulled it great, stopping it was another issue even with brakes on all axles.
1974 F100 D Model Explorer, modded 391, GT heads, Comp Cam,lifters, double valve springs, adjustable cam timing, link cam chain, Edelbrock single plane, Carter Super Quad 750, Hookers, cooling system from a 460, C6 with B&M shift kit, 9" rear axle, 275x60x15 tires that aren't near broad enough to hold it down, custom oil pump-70lbs idle, 70lbs WOT. Custom cold air.
1974 F100, 360 stock, C6, 3.00 gears. Another D Model Explorer.
Yeah I like the 74's. My 74's will out work any f250 on this planet and do it with authority. They're not as plush, not as quiet, but they'll do anything you ask of them and keep on going. They have to be the toughest trucks ever made.....but a 72 model ain't far behind.

For the 61-66 trucks I use slick60s.net. For the bumpsides, I use out fordification.net. I have some dentsides as well, but just use fullsizebronco there.

I still think Ford stopped makin' manly trucks after '79.
