Transfer Case Question???

I just put a D60 out of an 82 f250 in the rear of my truck. it did not have the speed sensor in the rear so i take it it was in the transfer case well i swapped this rear into my 95 f150 that did have the speed sensor in the 8.8 not the T-case ...... now my question will that transfer case out of the 82 work behind my 300-i6 and 5 speed to regain my speedometer back any input is appreciated ..

Your truck requires an ABS sensor in the rear axle for the speedo, cruise, & RABS to work. Read this caption:

It should be easy to find a D60 with ABS, but you'll need to know how many teeth are on the tone ring to calculate the correct conversion constant for your tire size.

You can use any t-case with this mounting pattern:

But the BW1356 is undoubtedly the strongest that will fit in your truck.

Aftermarket speedo with the cable driven speedo oorr swap in a cable speedo from an older dash. Neither are a good fix, but it'll work.

If you had read that caption, you'd have found this link:

I don't know if he ever got that to work, though. This thread shows 2 methods that work:

Or, you could just find a D60 housing w/ABS & transfer your guts into it.
