odometer swap help

I am going to swap out my tach less instrument cluster with the one with a factory tach from a 92 F-150. How do I swap the odometers so it reads mine (96)?

Once you have both of the instrument panels in hand, you simply remove the speedo/odo module from your panel and plug it into the one with the tach then install the new IP in your truck

I have been doing this, as I have had problems with my PSOM, so it is just like StrangeRanger said. Find the hex screws hidden behind the instrument panel bezel trim, unscrew those and the bezel pops right off. Disconnect your shift linkage indicator cable, remove the hex screws at all 4 corners of the instrument panel. Pull out the instrument panel a little bit, reach behind and disconnect the 3 or 4 connectors (tabs on both ends and can be a little tricky), and pull out. Be careful not to lay it on its face at any time as there is a liquid in the cluster that could somehow pour out. Replace your PSOM with the one on the old cluster and replace in reverse. good luck
