31-10.50s or 32s

31x10.50 will fit inside the wheel wells, but they will definitely be stuffed. They may rub the radius arms slightly. I am pretty sure that there is an adjustment on the knuckle to reduce the turning radius. My buddy has an '83 reg. cab long bed and he ran 31's for years before putting on a 6" lift and 33's. His 33's rub the radius arms.
I had an '85 Bronco with stock suspension that I ran with 33's. They fit fine, but rubbed the radius arms. I ended up doing an SAS up front with 11" of lift and ran 40's.

32's at the most on a stock 4x4 for the front. 33's may fit but you won't be able to turn at all.
The only problem I have had with 31's rubbing the radius arm is that with thick side lugs turning while barely moving the lug will grab the radius arm and stop you dead. Interesting experience I must say.

more about tires.
will the 32'' rub the arm at all on a 4x4 stalk. i want to buy one. not that i don't love my 2x4. just have 2 little girls now and can't afford giving them whip lash every time i need a running start. i would like to run the largest size i could. 1985 f150. still love my 2x4. we've been through a lot. i have 31''s 10.5s on it and they rub a bit i don't mind. was also thinking about getting some skinny tires for the 4x4.

I've run 31/10.50-15s on my '77 since I got it in 1986 (it already had a set of Sidewinders 31/10.50-15s then) except for one set of tires called "Courser Radial LT" that were an odd 31/11.50-15s. When I got the truck and even with those 31/11.50s it had 15X7 wagon spoke wheels (though the trim rings were added by me) which do not have as deep offset as current 15X8s. Those 11.50s really bulged with the 7" wheels in them.
I assumed they were 8s until those Coursers would never balance and I sold them and put some Michelin made Sears "Raod Handler Treadloc" 31/10.50-15s on it.
Now I have 15X8s but still 31/10-50s though I've had a second set of Sears tiores and then these new tires I have now.
I never ever had a tire rub issue on a radius arm or otherwise. The 31/11.50s came close I recall.
32/11.50s might would have just scuffed the radius arms. I also believe the stock Ford later spoked wheels like the '80s/90s had likely had even less offset.
Speedo is about perfect with 31s as I have checked her with Radar several times. I still have her.
