86 Is back on the road but with some fuel issues.
After a new battery, fuel filter, power steering pump, and a starter I have passed the state inspection and have put about 50 miles on the truck. It seems to be running fine. Both tanks showed empty so I put in 10 gals each. Now the rear still shows empty and the front over full. I believe it has to do with the pressure driven selector valve. I went to the gas station and tried to put gas in the front tank but it wouldn't take it. Is there any way for me to know for certain that the front tank is full and the gauge is indeed reading correctly?
Thanks!
Thanks!

No, the DFR has nothing to do with the fuel gauge. Read these captions:
For that fuel gauge to show over full, either it's over full, or there's a short to ground between the tank switch & the front sender. If it won't take gas, then glc is right - it's full.
The DFR can leak, causing fuel to transfer between tanks.
