93 f-150 Parts truck questions & 4x4 convert ?s

Alright guys, I found a old junker f-150 in the junk yard of a car dealer in my town, It's got decent front fenders I didn't look to hard at the bed but I'm sure it's just as nice as you may have seen my truck is realllllllyyyy rusty But I ran into a problem that made me come here, The bed is a long bed and my truck is a short bed What would I have to do to my frame to accommodate the extra 2 feet? or is there no difference from the frames, my thought was I'd have to like add some to the frame because it just makes sence to have a shorter frame for a shorter bed but I could be wrong. also, I think it's 4x4 mine is only 2wd what kinda issues would I run into to convert my truck to 4x4? IF the truck has a 302 like mine I'm pretty sure it does so the tranny and transfer case would hook into my 302 I'd probably just have to make or find a bracket for the transfer case but maybe I'm just dreaming I don't know haha let me know what you all think.

You'd have to swap your cab, front clip, & engine onto that frame. It's not as hard as it sounds, and not NEARLY as hard as converting a 2WD truck to 4WD.

I was wanting to convert it to 4x4 from 2x4 though steve, unless I just swapped my engine out and whatever ells is wrong with it I havn't asked yet about it so I should really ask see whats wrong with it then figure out what I can take off of my truck, Because my truck is old... it's been through a tornado and much more, she's at the end of her days haha

Either way, it's quicker, cheaper, & easier to swap the body/engine onto the trans/chassis you want.

Why though exactly would I need to put my cab on it? if it's roughly the same year and is the same body style (92-96) Can't I just swap engine's, My buddy at work said if he's thinking of the right truck the one I'm looking at just has a blown engine, So I could just swap the engine from my current 93 f150 to the junker and be fine with it Because I'd rather do that and have a 4x4 then Buy a new truck haha It would take some work though but I'm up for the challenge.

Yes, if the 2WD's cab is OK. I thought you said it was bad.
