94 Ford F150 issue

Ok so I have a ticking noise coming from the passenger side bank of cylinders. Makes me things a spark plug is missing. The truck is hesitating bad but does not stall but kind of seems like it want to. Shutters also. You can feel the engine vibrating in the cabin. I took it to a mechanic and he stated he could not find anything wrong with it after hooking it up to computer. Never had a check engine light.
My mods are tru-dual exhaust with x-pipe, two high flow cats, and two magnaflow mufflers, K&N cold air intake, and pulley system. I just want to get it fixed because it is annoying.

Any suggestions or thoughts?

ticking could be an exhaust leak maybe? what about a lifter/rocker arm issue?

Either could be an issue. Hows your oil pressure?

Pinpoint it using a stethoscope (3' piece of garden hose works remarkably well) before continuing.

I'd never go back to him, even for an oil change.

If it has ANY crossover, it's not a true dual exhaust.

What was wrong with the factory cold-air intake?

Ok it is not an exhaust leak or anything that serious. The problem is the spark plug wire to cylinder #8 is touching the JBA headers. These of course get hot those have melted the wire. Appears the excel yet of wires have does not fit well over the JBA headers. I really dont want to spend money to get another set but just may have to suck it up so the truck will be back to normal.
