Can you ID this truck from these pics?
I posted another thread, https://www.f150online.com/forums/pr...h-f-100-a.html, where I am going to get a "new" pickup truck. I think it's a 73 but I'm not sure. I went over to my parent's house and spent 2 hours going through old photo's trying to find a decent picture.
For all my trouble, this is all I could come up with:
I would appreciate any information you can give me! I know it's not much to go on.

I wish it were that easy. The truck is 330 miles from here. To get that information I would have to get my grandmother to try and find the ID plate which really wouldn't work out too well as she's in her 80's. I know it's supposed to just be on the door, but that would be like pulling teeth through the phone. It'll be sometime next month at best before I can put my hands on it. I'm just trying to get an idea of exactly what it is I'm trying to put my hands on.

I think the grill dates it to a 73-75. I'm fairly certain it's a v8 and I know it's a 3 speed column shift because I've driven it. Does anybody know if there were certain engine / trans combo's that didn't exist? I know for example that in an 86 iroc, if you had a manual, it was a 305 instead of a 350. I was curious if such "rules" applied for the f100.

it's definantly older than a '78-'79 due to the grill but they used that grill up to '77
if it has an column shift then it's either a straight 6 or a small v-8
these were the motors avalable
1973-1977 - 240 in³ (3.9 L) straight-6
1973-1977 - 300 in³ (4.9 L) straight-6
1973-1977 - 352 in³ (5.8 L) FE V8
1973-1976 - 360 in³ (5.9 L) FE V8
1973-1977 - 390 in³ (6.4 L) FE V8
1973-1977 - 302 in³ (5.0 L) Windsor V8
1973-1979 - 460 in³ (7.5 L) 385 V8, 225hp

No its not, 76's had different grills. They are right, its a 73-75. I think it is a camper special becuase of the tie downs you can see on the bed side and tailgate. 302's were not available in 73, and the F-150 was not available until 74, so its not a 460. Sorry to not be more help, but if we keep saying its not stuff, eventually we will get it
