My backup lights are not working. Ive checked the lights and replaced the little switch located on the tranny. I also check all the fuses under the hood. There are also relays in the fuze box under the hood but i dont know how to check them. Could a relay be causing the problem? What else can it be?

Also
I bought a new shifter handle but for the life of me cant figure out how to get the old one off. how can i get it off?

Thanks!!!

Check in this order
Do you have 12v out of the fuse?
Do you have 12v into the switch on the tranny cover?
Do you have 12v out of the switch on the tranny cover?
Do you have 12v in at the light socket?
Do you have a ground at the light socket?
Wherever your first "no" answer is, the problem lies between it and the prevoius "yes."

There are (3) T30 retaining screws in the dust cover which surrounds the shift handle. Take them out and the shifter and dust cover should lift out.
