95 dash pad revamp

well i've been annoyed by my cracked dashpad since i got my truck, so after some research on how to get it out, i removed it today. At about 9 pm i started to peel the vinyl off of it using a heat gun and a straight screwdriver. After i removed all of the vinyl, i scuffed over the foam to make the surface a little course. I then applied resin to it, the layed two layers of torn pieces of matte on it. For the third layer, i layed one large uniform piece. Tomorrow I'll be able to apply body filler and smooth it out. I plan to paint it red, and if anyone replies to my post on the whole dash shell removal, then i will redo all of the interior. If this turns out good then i will fiberglass the whole interior black, silver and red. here are some random pics. i will update as I go along

the old vinyl

The whole dash pad after 3 layers layed up to cure

2 close ups of the right and left side. these pics are all still wet

I bought that piece two years ago from my work at the local Ford dealer and paid less than 75 bucks for it. Just thought you'd like to know how much you saved.
